This Course Set is required to be updated every 12 months in NSW and every 6 Months in QLD and provides Electrical workers with the skills and knowledge to assess a situation, put into place safety procedures and provide assistance to rescue a worker from Live LV apparatus and to perform CPR on a casualty who has been affected by an electric shock.
This course covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus in an electricity supply industry (ESI) environment. This does not include overhead lines and underground cables. It includes the organisational workplace requirements for the inspection and use of live LV panel rescue equipment, and how it applies to ESI workers to meet work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), mobility and mutual aid requirements.
This course provides you with the knowledge and skills to work safely in the electrotechnology industry by following work health and safety (WHS) or occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations and codes of practice. You'll learn how to identify hazards and control risks and follow the proper procedures to ensure a safe working environment. You'll also learn about your responsibilities for health and safety in the workplace and how to manage risks and follow safety practices in an electrotechnology workplace.
Completing the course will provide an individual with the skills and knowledge to carry out and complete the LV panel rescue procedure, safe work methods for safely removing an electric shock victim from a live electrical situation, and to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a casualty in a range of situations. It consists of real-life practical skills and knowledge to allow the participant to be assessed as competent in providing CPR in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines as well as rescue procedures from a LV apparatus.
Due to the high-risk nature of the industry, the program is regarded as a mandatory requirement for specific industries in which employees are required to develop or maintain their professional skills.

Learn how to perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) on adults in cardiac arrest and provide oxygen therapy. This course is recommended for anyone who needs to learn how to prepare and use oxygen equipment, identify a casualty that requires oxygen and administer oxygen as required.
The course also requires that the learner can identify and manage a situation where a casualty is suffering from life-threatening bleeding.
This Advanced Resuscitation course is delivered in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and first aid code of practice and applies to those who may be required to provide first aid, CPR and oxygen in a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.
Simulated real-life situations will be used to develop the skills and knowledge for using and maintaining specialised equipment for the provision of first aid, resuscitation, and oxygen therapy.

Challenging situations, such as multiple casualty incidents, having to move or extricate casualties, or treating potentially fatal illnesses and injuries are high risk. It is imperative that training occurs to be able to know what to do when confronted with a real-life incident.
This course provides practical simulated real-life situations to learn and gain the confidence to coordinate and manage a response and provide advanced first aid in line with legal, community and workplace considerations, Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and other Australian national peak clinical bodies until emergency services arrive.

It teaches how to identify illness or injury, access emergency services, safely provide first aid treatment using action plans, equipment and resources, for CPR, defibrillation, administering an autoinjector for anaphylaxis, administering asthma medication, immobilisation for envenomation, fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains, for bleeding and shock and other conditions.
You will learn basic anatomy, physiology and the differences between adults, children and infants relating to CPR, managing an infant or child with an acute illness, or who requires an immediate ambulance response and conveying incident details to parents, caregivers and emergency services.

This course set applies to all workers or members of the community who may be required to provide first aid in the event of an asthma and/ or anaphylaxis emergency in a community and/or workplace setting.
Satisfactorily completing all the requirements of this course set provides the student with the ability to develop risk management and risk minimisation strategies for individuals diagnosed at risk of asthma and/or anaphylaxis in the workplace. This includes the development and implementation of pre-emergency risk assessment/ management and the development and implementation of individual asthma and/or anaphylaxis management plans.

Participants will learn how to conduct standard in-service safety inspection with the necessary knowledge and skills to test portable electrical equipment, including appliances, cords, plugs and sockets, in accordance with Australian Standard AS3760.
This unit covers safety testing of electrical cord connected equipment and cord assemblies. It will provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to work safely using a portable apparatus tester, identify safe and unsafe cords and apparatus, identify faults, applying tagging, arranging for repair of faulty equipment and complete testing documentation.
This course is designed for new and experienced personnel required to work safely at heights at an operational level typically in the resources and infrastructure industries. The course will expose students to a broad range of height risk situations and to implement safe working procedures according to the regulations and legislative requirements governing working safely at heights.
Students will learn to identify risks and implement appropriate control measures as well as interpret and apply risk assessment documentation, technical and safety information as well as understand the strengths and limitations of the fall protection equipment available for working safely at heights.
Students will perform two work safely at heights scenarios using various safety systems. This includes installing equipment checking and correctly fitting, adjusting and anchoring fall protection systems and associated equipment
This course has a pre requisite of completion of the unit introduction to sports massage or have completed the level 1 sports trainer accreditation.
The course includes advanced strapping techniques for taping of shoulders, knees, elbows, achilles tendon as well as taping for plantar fasciitis and fat pad issues.
Other sporting injuries and taping tecniques can be addressed and upon successfull completion, a certificate will be issued.
